Kelly Salmond

School Director

Kelly started dancing at the age of 3 and fell in love with dance from her very first class. She sat exams in Ballet, Tap and Jazz up to Advanced level and competed for many years, winning numerous Scottish Championship titles.


Kelly founded KSDA in 2007 after teaching throughout Scotland for many years. With her abundant ideas, choreographic talents and desire to teach a variety of dance styles she decided to take the leap and open her own school, and after 16yrs of success, so far, it was definitely a great decision!


Kelly is a qualified teacher in RAD Ballet, ISTD Tap & Modern, ID Company Contemporary, Progressing Ballet Technique and Acrobatic Arts.

She also studied Sport and Exercise Science at Heriot-Watt University.


Kelly is beginning new qualifications in 2024 to increase her knowledge and skills, and increase the disciplines on offer within KSDA


She is fully insured, PVG checked, First Aid trained and has up to date Safe Guarding training.


Kelly teaches Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Performance Team, Competition team and PBT classes weekly and just loves to see the students progressions and joy of learning all styles of dance!!

Gina Muego

MT Teacher & Singing Coach

Gina started performing from the age of 3 when she first started dance classes, she then studied singing from the age of 9 and went on to achieve a 1st class BA(hons) in Performance: Music with voice as her first instrument. Gina also completed an MSc in Music in the Community, exploring ways music making can be used to create personal and collective mental, cultural and physical wellbeing.


Gina also teaches singing and music in primary schools as well as providing one to one vocal tuition for children and adults.


She is fully insured, PVG checked, First Aid trained and has up to date Safe Guarding training.


Gina is a fabulous asset to the KSDA team and creates a safe, welcoming and supportive space for students to explore their voices and express themselves through drama and movement.



Rebecca began dancing at the age of 3, in the Falkirk and Linlithgow area before moving to the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi). Whilst there she sat numerous RAD and ISTD examinations and performed in venues around the Middle East..


Upon returning to Scotland she attended full-time Dance college where she achieved her ISTD DDE modern qualification and has since continued to teach both in Abu Dhabi and Scotland.


She is fully insured, PVG checked, First Aid trained and has up to date Safe Guarding training.


Rebecca Ioves to watch her students develop through dance with their confidence, creativity and curiosity. She is a great addition to the KSDA team and the students love working with her!


Rebecca currently teaches Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Performance, Flex & Contemporary with KSDA.
