About our School

KS Dance Academy was founded in August 2007 and is one of the leading dance schools in Edinburgh.

We offer technical dance classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Commercial, Acrobatic Dance and Musical Theatre. Our students range from our 2 year old Pre-Schools to our Advanced students.

We offer many wonderful experiences for our students including the opportunity to participate in exams, shows, galas and fairs, festivals and competitions.

We have our own Performance Team and Competition Team, so students can showcase their talents locally, nationally and Internationally! We had had some amazing opportunities for our students including Performance trips across the UK, to Disneyland in Paris and to The Dance World Cup in Braga 2023 and upcoming Prague 2024.

KS Dance Academy offers exams with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet

We are also affiliated and qualified with:

• Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) Tap and Modern
• Acrobatic Arts and Acrotrix
• Progressing Ballet Technique
• ID Company - Contemporary

Our school has a 100% pass rate for exams, across all disciplines, and boasts some of the highest marks for exams in Scotland.

We are a small, family-orientated school who’s focus is on individuality, knowing all of our students and their needs, and helping each child to become confident, happy and strong both in dance and throughout their life. We pride ourself on our long standing relationships with many of our students, seeing them grow from 2 year old pre-schools to amazing young people following their dreams!

We are proud of every child that walks though our doors, the skills they develop, the friendships they nurture and the confidence they build.
